Anthony Caddell-Adams
Kitchen Manager
When I was five years old, my brother and I moved in with our great aunt, and that’s when my journey to Akiva truly began. I started attending RFK Summer Camps and progressed through both of the Onward & Upward and Summit programs.
Once I was old enough, I became a teen helper for OFC. That experience made it clear to me that I wanted to work at Camp Akiva as a summer staffer. Even while attending high school and completing the culinary program for three years—a program I absolutely loved—my goal of working at Camp Akiva never changed.
In the summer of 2023, that dream became a reality when I was hired as an assistant cook on the summer staff. For summers 2024 and 2025, I had the opportunity to work as head cook, which helped me grow both spiritually and professionally.
During the school year of ‘24–‘25, in the midst of pursuing a degree in culinary arts, I felt a stronger calling to work at Camp Akiva as a full-time staff member. As this position opened up for me in January of ‘26, I was excited to serve here at Akiva, but more importantly, I am now a part of the same organization that made such a difference for me – OFC!
As a kid, I remember coming to camp and how amazing the food always was. I want to create that same impact for the kids who come to camp today. Camp has always been something I looked forward to, and through OFC and Akiva, I haven’t just made friends—I’ve made family.
I am truly looking forward to serving God by serving others.
