Josh Mansfield
Facilities Director
I grew up in Rains County and met the Moseley family while attending youth group at Believers’ Baptist Church in Emory. Hannah Moseley was a persistent recruiter, declaring that I should come work at Akiva every summer. Instead, after graduating early from homeschool in 2022, I began my first full-time job working at Marshall’s Barbecue Pit.
In late 2024 I applied for the US Air Force but ultimately didn’t make the cut. About that time, an acquaintance offered me a job in the electrical industry. I accepted and began working all across the country. Soon afterward I was promoted to a crew lead but still didn’t feel that I had found my calling. So in October 2025 I wound up at Wes & Lisa’s kitchen table discussing my future role at Camp Akiva.
After being presented with the idea of working at camp over 5 yrs ago, God has finally brought me here. I’m grateful that through all my former endeavors, God has ultimately placed me at camp where I get to enjoy a new variety of projects and service opportunities every day!
