Work at Akiva
Activities Staff provide a fun and safe environment at all activity sites by lifeguarding aquatic activities, belaying at the challenge course, facilitating target sports and crate stacking. Activities staff are also an integral part of serving meals and cleaning dishes, as well as other minor cleaning tasks. All activities staff will receive Red Cross training and certification by Akiva. This position has the most interaction with our guests and campers!
Housekeeping serves our guests by ensuring that all lodging and meeting places are clean and welcoming for all guests. Our Housekeeper will independently manage specific assigned locations and will manage inventory & stock of cleaning supplies. Additionally, our Housekeeper will participate in serving meals, additional aspects of meal cleanup, and cooperate with running the camp’s cantina. If you love to serve, detail oriented, and desire to make a visible difference every day, this is a great job for you!
Kitchen Crew gets to experience the joy of bringing people together around good homemade meals. Our Kitchen Crew prepares meals, cooks, serves, and helps clean up daily after meals. Work alongside others by creating delicious meals for all guests to enjoy.
Maintenance Crew is the backbone of summer camp! Our Maintenance Crew will keep the facilities running smoothly and create a beautiful environment for people to experience God. You will be trained to work with small engine equipment and spend most of your day outside. Our maintenance team is servant hearted, good with their hands, and they enjoy working on something a little different each day.
